So I went to sleep Sunday night with my tooth still in a lot of pain. The endodontist had prescribed some antibiotics and I was taking my fair share of Ibu's and some left over pain meds. But it all seemed to no avail.
On Monday I woke up early (well for me anyway) and called the dentist and told them of my predicament. They were very nice and seemed concerned and said they would fit me in as soon as possible. So I waited by the phone, and, after about forty-five minutes, it occurred to me that my tooth didn't hurt so much as it had. So I called back and told them how I felt.
As it turns out, I had a pretty intense procedure for the root canal, and some residual pain was to be expected. Had I read my post op notes they had given me, I guess I would have realized this. But i was far to medicated to read anything.
Well, I am happy to say I am pretty much pain free, my crown looks good, if I do say so myself, and all is right in my mouth.
Probably more information than any of you care to read isn't it?
