There really is a whole big list of people who i think should have a better career than they already do. Well, maybe not better career, but at least more popular and able to command more attention. One of those people is:
A writer, actress and entrepreneur, Amy is probably one of the funniest women alive today. Her short lived Comedy Central series Strangers With Candy was a hit with nearly anyone who saw it, and there should be a box set of the series coming out soon.
Likewise a feature based on the series is said to release sometime this summer, so keep an eye out for it.
One of my requirements for WATS? is their versatility. Amy is not only hilarious but can be a serious actress as well and she has had straight roles in several TV series including Law & Order: SVU. But right now it's her comedy that stands out, and she can change, chameleon like from a young beautiful woman, to a 45 year old crack whore to everything in between and farther out still.
She regularly appears on nighttime talk shows and her appearances on David Letterman in particular are hilarious. Always seemingly setting her own rules, Amy can go on for her entire segment about her new baby, with father Letterman, and how he never visits the young child.
To say she is quick witted would be an understatement. Her comedy, sense of humor and sense of responsibility in her personal life is without measure.
She also makes Cheese-balls.
